ドイツのZKM（Center for Art and Media in Karlsruhe）によるアプリアワード「App Art Award 2013」が作品を募集中。2011年からスタートし、今年で3度目の開催となる本アワード。
創造的・革新的な考えを持ったアプリ・フォーマットの芸術性の高いアート作品を募集しており、ソフトウェア開発者、アーティスト、アプリファンなど、アプリを作っている人なら誰でも応募可能。チームや会社での応募も可能となっている。
賞のカテゴリーは幅広いアーティスティックな作品を募集する「Prize for Artistic Innovation」、クラウド時代のモバイルやアプリの在り方に焦点をあてた「Special Prize for Crowd Art」 、拡張現実をテーマにした作品を募集する「Special Prize for Augmented Reality Art」の３つとなっており、賞金はそれぞれ10.000 ユーロとなっている。
アプリの動作環境はAndroid Version 2.1 以上、Apple iOS Version 4.3.x 以上、Windows Phone Version 7.5以上。
