  Born 1973, Toronto, Canada. Son of Swedish and Polish immigrants. Stephen Crowhurst is an Artist, Art Director, Designer, Curator, and Illustrator currently living in Toronto, Canada.
  
  Stephen has been working freelance in Toronto for the past 8 years and has gained an international interest as a creative that stands up for the creative process, wheather it be commercial work or otherwise. Stephen's work as a whole touches on subjects of beauty, nature, and the documentation of the creative process. His method of hand crafted design meshed with contemporary design technology sets him far apart from the average Canadian designer or creative thinker.
  
  In the past 8 years Stephen has worked as a freelance creative for projects including film, print and advertising campaigns, book and magazine publications, fashion, and music. His artwork has been
  exhibited in many countries around the world including America, Canada, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Switzerland. He has been published in magazines and compendiums such as IdN (Hong Kong), Zoo (UK),
  Creative Base (UK), Applied Arts (Canada), Computer Arts (US), OK Fred (Japan), Butter (Canada), Composite (China), and Rojo (Spain).

  Stephen is also the founder and co-curator of an international design exhibition called Tekko,(http://www.tekko.nu). He launched Tekko as a means to gain international recognition o fcanadian creative talent and to enhance the awareness of looking at designers as contemporary artists. Tekko is an exhibition that allows international creatives to exhibit non-commercial based work in a gallery setting and is now a platform for international creatives to showcase their work.
